Training Programme
Handloom & Handicrafts
ABCEDO had conducted Awareness Program on Handloom and Handicrafts especially for rural poor needy women at Langmeidong Community Hall of Kakching District, Manipur in association with District Industrial Centre (DIC), Thoubal and Kakching Manipur. 50 women including girls from Langmeidong Village and its neighbouring Village of Kakching District, Manipur took part in the program. As a part of the Program, ABCEDO has provided training materials to some selected trainees with free of cost. The main objectives of the Program are to improve the income level of the rural poor needy women through Handloom and Handicrafts Development Program.
Piggery Farming Training
All Backward Classes and Economic Development Organization in closed collaboration with District Social Welfare Department, Chandel, Government of Manipur organized one day awareness programme on Piggery Farming/ Rearing at Keirak village of Kakching District, Manipur. 60 villagers from Keirak and its adjoining village of Kakching District, Manipur were participated in the programme. Resource person from District Veterinary Office, Kakching were delivered talks to the participants about the needs of piggery farming / rearing as earning way as well as improving socio-economic status in the rural areas through modern scientific technology.
Poultry Farming Training
With a view to reduce the unemployment problem in rural area as well as improve the income level of the poor villagers through Poultry developments program. ABCEDO has organized one day awareness programme on Poultry Farming / Rearing at Tentha Khunjao, Thoubal District, Manipur in closed collaboration with District Social Welfare Department, Government of Manipur. 110 villagers from Tentha and its adjoining village of Thoubal District were participated in the prohramme. Resource person from District Veterinary office, Thoubal were delivered talks to the participants about the needs of Poultry Farming / Rearing as earning way as well as improving socio-economic status in the rural areas through modern scientific technology.
Workshop On Trafficking
In this programme, various stakeholders delivered talks about the role of NOGs, Community Leaders, Village Chiefs and Women organization to prevent the commercial sexual exploitation, rescue the victim, Rehabilitation, re-integration and repartition to the participants. ABCEDO has also distributed 600 nos. of leaflets, 40 posters at major places such as Fast Food, Public Place, Bus stand and School etc. The main objective of the programme are to prevent trafficking of women and children for commercial sexual exploitation through social mobilization and involvement of local communities, awareness generation programmes, general public discourse through workshop such event and any other innovative activity and to provide rehabilitation service both immediate and long term to the victims by providing basic amenities / needs etc.
Swachh Bharat Mission
ABCEDO had organized Swachh Bharat Mission programme at ABCEDO’s Observation Home for Boys Samaram and ABCEDO’s Children Home for Boys, Noney respectively on from April to June, 2021 under the Financial support from Social Welfare Department, Government of Manipur. The main purpose of this programme was to create awareness among the Children of the Home regarding cleanliness and its benefits, Covid-19 prevention etc. During the programme, the resource person took delivered the speech on the importance of sanitation, Covid-19 Dos and Don’ts, Hand Sanitization and proper use of face marks etc .
