About us
All Backward Classes and Economic Development Organization (ABCEDO), Samaram Bazar is a non-profit, non-political, non-religious, Non-Sectarians, Secular voluntary organization registered under Societies Registration Act 1989 (Manipur Act, 1 of 1990) bearing Registration No. 3 of 1988-89. The organization has been working in the District of Thoubal, Chandel, Kakching and Noney with its head office at Samaram Bazar, P.O.Wangjing-795148, P.S. Khongjom, Thoubal District. Manipur. The organization has been working for about 33 years for the welfare of rural poor needy persons as well as most disadvantaged groups of people of the community particularly rural sections of the society. The organization was established by group of local artisans and has been providing support to the most disadvantaged sectors of the community by encouraging their active participation at all levels so as to develop a self reliant society with a focus on socioeconomic empowerment of the community especially women as decision makers in the development process.
ABCEDO
ABCEDO has been undertaken various social commendable programs in the field of Women and child welfare project, Health & Family Welfare, Literacy Education & Environment & Sanitation, Agriculture Development, Welfare Programs for women in difficult circumstances, Handicraft Development, Women Empowerment, and Socio-Economic Developmental Programme with main focus of Integrated Development of the Society.
Geographical Area Covered
All Backward Classes and Economic Development Organization (ABCEDO), Samaram Bazar, Thoubal District, Manipur is actively working in the District of Thoubal, Chandel, Kakching and Noney District of Manipur State. ABCEDO has taken up various projects / programs in the four District of Manipur such as Welfare program for Women and Child under the financial assistance from Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government of India, New Delhi , Vocational training program, Women empowerment program, Health related activities program, Welfare program for most disadvantaged group of peoples, Community leaders development programs with special emphasis on weaker sections of rural and urban areas of the society.
Our Mission
The mission of the All Backward Classes and Economic Development Organization (ABCEDO), Samaram Bazar, P.O. Wangjing-795148, P.S. Khongjom, Thoubal District, Manipur are:
to health and sanitation facilities, family welfare program, vocational training in different trades,
to create awareness conservation of environment and inculcation of values and culture thereby achieving the overall objectives of contributing to the all-round development of the deprived section of the society,
to managing inadequacy to adequacy status.
to preserve Rain water by construction of water tank in remote areas.
Our Vision
Vision of the All Backward Classes and Economic Development Organization (ABCEDO), Samaram Bazar, Thoubal District, Manipur is to empower resource poor community in managing development and welfare activities/schemes and local resources to meet their need in a participatory manner & collaborative spirit.
OBJECTIVES
The main objectives of the organization is to work for the overall development of the deprived, rural poor needy women & most disadvantaged communities irrespective of castes, creed and religion so that they may contribute positively and become part of development process. For achieving this objective, All Backward Classes and Economic Development Organization has taken up several projects/ programs through which disadvantaged/vulnerable sections of the society, through their active involvement at all levels so as enable to manage their own affairs and in turn become self-reliant and become part of development efforts.
